Will monitor, coordinate, and participate in safety, environmental, and health inspections and audits of the construction site. Review accident and investigation reports, hazard analysis and corrective actions, as well as hazard tracking and trending.
Implement, monitor, and coordinate with contractors established EH&S Training Programs. Prepare, administer, and maintain all documents pertaining to the Project according to Corporate and OSHA guidelines. Maintain, and report all required record keeping for OSHA, ANSI, ASME and other regulatory committees.
Coordinate and provide guidance in support of the York operating facility OSHA VPP Star status. Review and coordinate with Project Team safety, health and environmental pending issues.
Attend Covanta necessary group meetings, trainings, seminars, and conferences that enhance the overall health, environmental, and safety betterment of the Project and the Operating Facility.
Coordinate and discuss all environmental requirements with the Client and the Corporate Environmental Engineer. Will be responsible to review and monitor all the required EH&S permits pertaining to Project and submitted by Client and Project Team. Implement and Coordinate corrective activities for pending EH&S issues in coordination with Client and Project Team.
Position Requirements:
Requires a Bachelors Degree with at least five years in hands-on and /or coordination of EH&S site construction with a general supervisory background in site construction of capital EPC projects. General knowledge and/or experience in industrial safety is required. Power plant construction, industrial/engineering, technical education, or safety degree is desirable. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. OSHA 500 desirable.
