S tambaugh Ness, a CPA/Business & Technology Consultant firm based in York and Hanover, PA is looking for an experienced professional to fill an opening at one of our clients. This dynamic position would work directly with management of this York, PA location of an architect and engineering firm. This individual must possess the following qualifications in order to be considered. Job Description: As an Accounting Manager, you will take ownership of the general accounting functions of the operations. We are seeking qualified individuals to meet timely corporate reporting requirements and work in this fast-paced work environment. This full-time position offers a competitive compensation package. Responsibilities: Provide oversight of the accounting functions; Ensure that adequate controls are in place to ensure timely financial reporting, and maintaining accurate books and records; Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts; Prepare payroll, quarterly and annual payroll returns; Generate closing entries and prepare accounting statements; Oversight of cash flow management; Assist in the development of annual budget; Coordinate accounting matters with other departments; Assist with external tax reporting requirements; Special projects, as required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; 3-5 years’ experience of general accounting with an emphasis in general ledger and financial reporting; 2 + years’ experience in a leadership role; Experience within an architect & engineering environment or comparable public accounting firm; Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent Organization, Planning Skills and Work Ethic; Strong Transaction Analysis & Decision Support skills; Experience with Deltek Vision a plus.
